Katey grew up in Pearland and is attending the Robert Turner College and Career High School.  She aspires to be a veterinarian and is currently on track to receive dual credit for high school and an associates with her CVA 1.   

Katey has a handful of pets including fish, Cleo a Russian Blue Cat, and 4 dachshunds Milo, Belle, Rocco and Boston.  She plans to attend Mississippi State or Texas Tech for undergrad and then continue to vet school.  

Katey is a member of the Houston Zoo teen education program and has wanted to be a vet since she was a kid.   She looks up to Dr. Nester as inspiration for working in the animal field and how to be successful.
